Pricing terms

These rules explain the standard model used in a LayerLane order summary. The signed order summary controls if it states different terms.

Free pages

Free Portfolio and Free Business Page include one template-based page, the listed essential content, a LayerLane subdomain, and one launch revision. They have no subscription payment or initial term. New pages, custom design, ongoing edits, forms, and integrations require a paid or separately quoted scope.

Web addresses

A LayerLane subdomain is available at no charge on free pages, subject to availability. Paid business websites include connection of a domain the client owns. A free business page moves to a paid website build if a custom domain is required. New domain registration and renewal depend on the name and extension and are confirmed before purchase. The client owns the custom domain.

One-time website builds

Starter Website (the current listed price), Business Website ($1,299), and Growth Website (the current listed price) are one-time build prices for their stated scope. They do not automatically include a monthly care or ads service. Material additions are quoted before work begins. Applicable tax is additional.

Optional monthly services

Website Care ($49/month) and Growth Care ($149/month) are separate ongoing services and are alternatives to each other. Ads Manager Agent ($300 setup + $300/month) is an agent package: launch, tracking, and ongoing optimization together. Ad spend is paid separately to the advertising platform. The written order summary sets the start and cancellation terms.

Creator tools

Résumé + Cover Letter Kit (the current listed price setup + the current listed price/month), GitHub + Vercel Portfolio Sync (the current listed price setup + the current listed price/month), LinkedIn Project Publisher (the current listed price setup + the current listed price/month), and the Career + Creator Automation Bundle (the current listed price setup + the current listed price/month) use the allowances shown on the portfolio page. Account access and any additional usage are confirmed before purchase.

Portfolio subscriptions

Paid managed portfolio plans have a 12-month initial agreement unless the written order summary says otherwise. Free pages have no initial term. Existing business subscriptions continue under their original order terms.

Scope without item limits

Normal publishing is not limited by the number of works, projects, posts, products, or pages. Scope is controlled by unique layouts, content models, data cleanup, integrations, workflows, revision rounds, and support time. Unused support time does not roll over. Approved work beyond the included allowance is quoted before it begins.

Content and connections

The order summary identifies whether the client updates the site, LayerLane connects a supported data source, or both. Normal publishing through the agreed content model is unlimited. New layouts, extensive data cleanup, replacement integrations, and new workflows are additional scope.

Connected and custom work

Connected Business starts at the current listed price implementation plus the current listed price/month. Custom Business System starts at $2,500 implementation plus $399/month. These are starting prices; the written discovery scope and quote control the final implementation and ongoing service. Custom Portfolio is quoted after discovery.

Domain, services, and usage

Domain registration, paid hosting or database tiers, email, AI, storage, bandwidth, marketplace services, and usage overages are client-owned or billed at cost. Ordinary hosting within the selected care plan is included. The client pays for and owns the domain. LayerLane requests approval before adding a planned paid service or usage tier whenever practical.

Ownership and handoff

The client always owns its content, domain, brand assets, and business data. LayerLane retains its pre-existing platform, shared tools, reusable components, templates, and methods. One-time website build ownership and handoff are set by the written order summary. For existing managed subscriptions, standard client-specific code and static assets become eligible for handoff after 12 successfully paid months unless the order says otherwise. Shared dashboards, automation infrastructure, and platform services are not transferred unless expressly included.

Failed payments

When a recurring payment fails, the account becomes past due and Stripe may retry it. Editing and automatic sync may be restricted after 7 days. The public site may be suspended after 14 days without payment and the project may be terminated after 30 days. Successful payment restores service when technically possible.

Retention after termination

LayerLane may retain managed content for up to 90 days after termination to allow recovery. After advance warning, managed copies may be deleted. Billing, tax, security, and other records may be retained where legally required.

Timing and approval

Delivery estimates begin after required content, access, and decisions are received. Client-caused delays move the schedule. The agreed revision rounds apply to design and structural changes; ordinary content publishing after launch is not a revision round.

This plain-language page is operational guidance, not legal advice. LayerLane should have the final subscription agreement, privacy policy, and cancellation language reviewed for the places where it sells.
